Last updated: November 2026

This draft describes how Ethio Viral’s website and account area handle personal data today. It is written for review by the business owner and legal counsel.

1. Who we are

Ethio Viral digital services (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — full legal name and registered address to be confirmed by owner). For privacy requests, contact us via Support page (WhatsApp or Telegram) or signed-in support tickets — dedicated privacy email to be confirmed by owner..

2. Data we collect

  • Account: email and password (Firebase Authentication); optional name, phone, and profile photo you add in Profile.
  • Orders: service or product identifiers, quantities, prices, target links, usernames, player IDs, and similar fields required to deliver what you bought.
  • Payments: wallet balance history; deposit references (transaction IDs, bank/Telebirr SMS codes); payment proof images when a method requires upload.
  • Support: ticket subject, message, optional category/priority, and attachments you send.
  • Communications: emails for verification, password reset, and Promotional email only if you opt in (for example footer newsletter); service emails for security and orders may still be sent. Newsletter signup stores your email if you subscribe in the footer.
  • Technical: browser type, device data sent to our API and hosts; Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled on a form; IP addresses in server logs (Server and security logs are kept for a limited period for fraud investigation (exact schedule to be confirmed by owner).).
  • On your device: local storage and session storage for cart, currency, search history, and sign-in convenience (see Cookie Policy).

3. Why we use data

  • Create and secure your account and process sign-in.
  • Place, pay for, deliver, and support orders.
  • Prevent fraud and abuse (including bot checks when Turnstile is on).
  • Improve the site and fix errors.
  • Send service messages you expect (receipts, security, ticket replies).
  • Promotional email only if you opt in (for example footer newsletter); service emails for security and orders may still be sent.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only to run the service:

  • Google Firebase (authentication and database).
  • Cloudflare (hosting, security, Turnstile).
  • Our API and operations team on api.ethio-viral.com.
  • Payment and fulfilment partners needed to complete your order (mobile money, bank transfer handlers, digital suppliers, social media fulfilment partners).
  • Authorities when required by valid legal process under applicable law.

5. Storage location and retention

Data is processed on infrastructure chosen by the operator (including servers outside Ethiopia via Firebase/Cloudflare). Order, payment proof, and support records are kept while your account is active and as needed for tax and dispute resolution (exact schedule to be confirmed by owner). You can see much of your history while your account is open. Deleting an account follows the rules on the Profile page (may be blocked while balance remains or a deposit is under review).

6. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard practices for a web shop. No online system is perfectly secure; use a strong password and keep proof of payment until your wallet is credited.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including Ethiopia’s Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024 when in force for your case), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact Support with enough detail to verify your account. Contact Support with your account email; we respond as soon as practical after verifying you own the account.

8. Children

The service is intended for adults 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated draft unless law requires otherwise.

10. Language

Amharic translations of these policies are not published yet. Official Amharic versions will be added when the owner approves translations.
